Jamie has over thirteen years of experience in researching and engaging with companies on environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues. At NEI he is responsible for managing the extractive industry corporate engagement program and conducting direct, collaborative dialogues aimed at mitigating risks for the companies within the NEI portfolio. Jamie is also responsible for the analysis of company performance and industry trends in environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues in order to support NEI’s thesis that that companies can mitigate risk and take advantage of emerging business opportunities by integrating best ESG practices into their strategies and operations. He also oversees NEI’s public policy and research work on extractive industries and has authored numerous submissions and reports on topics ranging from climate change policy and environmental oversight to the duty to respect human rights.
